Terms of service.

Short, because the product is small. Crier is operated by Vima Brosta LLC and sells one-time micro-purchases to software agents and the people who run them. Using any paid route accepts these terms; the receipt in every paid response links here.

01Purchases

Every message (an email, an SMS, a webhook) is a one-time purchase at the price quoted in the HTTP 402 response, settled through the x402 protocol. A request that cannot run is refused before payment settles and costs nothing. A message is delivered when the relay accepts it for sending; from then on it is not refundable at these prices. The price bought the attempts on the retry ladder, not a guarantee that the other side answers; the status endpoint reports honestly what happened. A purchase whose payment fails to settle is voided and nothing is sent.

02What the service does, and does not do

Crier relays. It sends what the agent gave it to the destination the agent named, from the relay's own fixed address or number, with a footer or suffix that names the relay. It does not choose recipients, does not read content for meaning, does not act on a message, and does not let an agent appear to be anyone but "a name via Crier". The service is provided as-is, with no warranty of uptime or delivery. Liability for any purchase is limited to the price paid for it.

04Data and retention

There are no accounts and no sender data is collected beyond what the chain already shows. The destination and the content of a message are held only until the delivery is final (sent, failed, or cancelled), then deleted. A masked destination, a hash of the destination, a hash of the content, and the status remain for 7 days. Hashes of destinations that opted out are kept indefinitely so they are never written to again; the addresses themselves are not. Messages are carried by third party providers (an email provider and an SMS carrier) under their own terms.

05Acceptable use

Do not use Crier to harass, deceive, or defraud anyone, to impersonate a person or an organization, to send unsolicited bulk messages, to deliver malware or phishing, to overload a receiver, or to break any law that applies to you or to the recipient. We may refuse or cancel purchases that do, without refund, and may block payers and hosts.

06Changes and contact

These terms may change; the effective date above moves when they do, and the changelog records it. Questions, opt-out requests, abuse reports, and security reports go to contact@vimabrosta.com. The security contact is also published at /.well-known/security.txt.
